No matter professional led profile company or small home user, when we cut the led profile we should notice there are some points we need to pay attention to.

1. Measure the length of the groove or the surface

The first step is measure the length of the groove or the surface where you are going to install the led aluminum profile. And mind in head that the led aluminum profile should be a few millimeter shorter than the groove.  

2. Click the plastic cover into the aluminum profile

Before we cut the led profile, there is another step we shall to do first. That is click the plastic cover into the aluminum profile, cut aluminum and PC together. Only in this way we can maintain the two parts in the same length. If we cut the two parts separately, we may get different lengths cover and aluminum profile.  

3. Make cutting mark on led aluminum profile

How long you are going to keep the led aluminum profile for a installation? Measure it and make a mark on the profile. You will avoid any cutting mistake by doing this step.

4. Cut led aluminum profile with cutting machine.

5. Measure the end caps and cut the plastic cover

We should know that end caps will take up some space when we installed them into led aluminum profile. So the total length of plastic cover include the size of two end caps, and that the length of plastic cover needs to be readjusted. Cut a few millimeters off which equals the size of two end caps. By doing these steps will make your installation of led aluminum profile much easier.
